Just like any other job, an aerobics trainer requires certification. Since India doesn’t have accrediting organization for aerobics and fitness training, an internationally recognized certificate is good for your resume. A certificate accredited by National Council on Strength and Fitness (NCSF), American Council on Exercise (ACE) or American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) will definitely boost your resume.

Statistics carried by U.S Bureau of Labor Statistics in 2012 indicated fitness trainers and aerobics instructors held around 267,000 jobs. It also projected this number will grow by 13% between 2012- 2022.

The salary of an aerobics trainer depends on the qualification, skills and experience. It’s also depends on organization or individual you are working for. In India, the salary also depends if the aerobics trainer is working in the northern or southern part of the country. According to Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median pay for aerobic trainer is about $31,720 per annum. With the growing demand for fitness, the salary scale is expected to rise in future.
